Hi, my name is Angela and here is a little blurb about me.

I earned my undergraduate degree in chemistry from Pepperdine Univ.  After graduation,  I was fortunate enough to be offered a position in a cardioelectrophysiology research lab at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.  On my way to becoming a real "mad" scientist.  What a great opportunity to work with people from all over the world.  I was able to author and coauthor many papers, but I knew I needed to go back to school.  After thinking on it, I decided to study Chinese Medicine.  I didn't want to go back to school for chemistry, come on, you know what those chemistry people are like.  I didn't want to just study western medicine either (ask me why during your visit).

I studied for 4 years at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA.  4 years!! Yup, we had to learn both eastern and western medicine.  Our classes consisted not only of acupuncture and herbs, but also pharmacology, physiology, pathophysiology, anatomy etc.  over 3000 hours of didactic and clinical training.  I was fortunate enough to spend most of my clinic hours in the geriatric clinic in downtown San Diego as well as work with the athletes at UCSD's RIMAC sports center.

In the last year of the program, I passed the national certification exam which certified me as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine.  After graduation, I passed the vigorous CA state boards which granted me a license to practice in this state.

In my free time, I love to play tennis, go hiking, travel to new places, spend time with my overly spoiled pet (see picture below), work on my house, or just read a good book.  I love this medicine and would enjoy sharing its benefits with those who are interested.
